My files keep disappearing

The following has happened 3 time now...I have several folders imported to LR and then for no reason they show up missing or offline. They are all on my harddrive and I have not moved or renamed them. I was working with a catalogue with no problem. I left for a couple of hours and when I came back they were all gone. In fact, my list of folders looks like it did a month ago, no main folders with subfolders, just a bunch of dates. I had it all organized and named. It's as if everything I've done in the past few weeks is gone.

Any ideas of what to do? I was editing a wedding and only had about 1' more pics to edit out of 45'. I can't imagine doing them all over. HELP!!!

Without more details, generally this problem is due to the inadvertent opening of a different catalog file. An easy way of ruling that out is to have a look at File > Open > Open Recent and see if any strange catalogs appear there in the drop down list. Or, use Windows Explore Search (or other tool) to scan your harddrives for files of the type *.lrcat (that's a lower case 'L', not an upper case 'i' in LRCAT.)

If that doesn't provide any clues, we'll need to know more about your setup and workflow.
