My Cloud Storage has maxed out and I want to view what is in my cloud storage and probably delete old files. Can someone tell me how to do this? Could not find any reference in Adobe online help search - they just wanted to sell me more storage.

Thanks

I'm assuming that most of your 20gb storage is being used by photographs and videos.

You are on the 20gb photography plan. So one option is to upgrage to the 1tb photography plan but that's more $$$$.

However, most people - even with a hundred thousand images or more live quite well with the 20gb plan. Here's a very quick summary of how they can do this.
  1. Images that originate through one of the cloud based LR apps store the original files in the cloud and they consume part of your paid storage
  2. Images that are imported directly into LrC (Classic) and are subsequently synced with the cloud DO NOT CONSUME YOUR PAID FOR STORAGE space in the cloud.
  3. Therefore the trick is to assure that all your images originate in LR/Classic. I have sev eral thousand images in the adobe cloud and am only using 540mb of my 20gb allocaiton.
  4. There is a methodology to achieve this even for photos that first enter the LR world through one of the LR/Cloud apps - includig those taken with your phone or tablet.
Earlier this year I wrote an article covering the full details of how to do this for both pre-existing images as well as new ones. You can find the artilce here https://www.danhartfordphoto.com/blog/2023/6/lr019-convert-lr/cloud-images-to-smart-previews.

Thanks Dan for this comprehensive approach to reducing my cloud storage. I got to the point where I was able to ID those photos that are synced and backed up. However, there were only 6 photos ID'd and they are far from 19 GB. Is there a way to ID other locations where originals are being stored and permanently delete them? Thanks much, Jeffrey

Open the Adobe Creative Cloud App. On the Left panel choose "Files". This will show you all of the other files in your Adobe Cloud including those that are not photos in your library. Also note the Deleted files are not deleted immediately but are placed in a "Deleted" folder to be permanently deleted after 30 days.
