Multiple crashes during Smugmug export

I am updating my website from a recent trip to South America. LR simply will stop working. So, I have to re-start the program and continue my work. LR has shut down multiple times. I find this irritating but I am able to continue to work without losing any information. I guess this is part of the digital photography?

Bob, your sig says Lr 2.2. Maybe I imagined this, but I think you were holding off on the upgrade 'till after your trip? 2.3 is a good bit more stable. Maybe now's the time?

I did not know that 2.3 was officially out. I was under the impression that the program was still in the beta stage.

Yes, you're correct, it's not in general release.

It's called a 'Release Candidate', which is I guess, a 'beta', with the known bugs worked out, intended to expose the product to a much wider range of systems/circumstances.

Personally, I'm using it in my production set-up, but I can understand other's reluctance to commit at this stage.

By all reports, 2.3 RC is more stable than 2.2 proper release - I'd go for it!

OK- I just downloaded 2.3RC. I will test the export to Smugmug next weekend. I need to scan my slides from Antarctica/grizzly bear/Falklands to have new material for my website. For now, I have nothing to export so I cannot test 2.3RC.

Sorry to report- LR 2.3RC crashes like the 2.2. Maybe, I am going too fast exporting images( overwhelming the system??).

Anyway, all I have to do is re-start the program. Just another step to do in order to get the job done.

No, I have not tried those trouble shooting tips-yet.

Since I have so many crashes, it seems to be a "normal" process for me. All, I have to do is re-start LR.

When my website is done, I will trouble shoot. I am on a roll right now scanning my slides, importing images into LR, exporting to Smugmug and crashing the system.
