Moving some folders to new external HD

All my images and LR catalog are on a external harddrive (P). I would like to move, due to space, some folders to an additional external HD and keep some on HD P with the LR catalog.

What would be the best method to do this?

In the Lightroom folders panel, drag some folders from P to the new HD.

Too simple, so to recap dragging the folder to the new HD the LR catalog will know were it is and the folder will not be see in its old position on the orginal HD.

[/quote]This simple or Almost. The Parent Folder (Container) on the New HD must already be listed in the folder panel on the Left of LR. If It is not, then Click on the (+) on the Folder Tab and click Add Folder... and navigate to the New HD and the parent folder that will store your images.
