Moving photos from one folder to another

1. macOS 10.14 Mojave

I suddenly can't move a photo's thumbnail from one folder to another in my Lightroom catalogue. All my Adobe software is up to date and this is something I do almost everyday. Has anybody else had the same problem. I have tried closing Lightroom and even restarting my computer.

Make sure you drag with the cursor on the image thumbnail itself, not on the slide mount. Also make sure that you are not trying to drag the image into a folder where it already is. That can happen if you have selected the option to show photos in subfolders (Library - Show Photos in Subfolders). In that case you may think that a photo is in a parent folder and try to drag it into a subfolder, while it is in fact already in that subfolder.

Thank you so much. How could I have forgotten that when it is something I do almost every day. A senior moment I think. Problem solved.
