Moving Photos from one catalog to another

Hi,

I recently split up a large catalog into several smaller catalogs.
As I get further into things I find I need to move straggler files from one to another...

Is it best to import them from one catalog to another? or to go into the XP file manager and move them and then synchronize the folders in Lightroom... or it there another method that I just don't see?

Does anyone have a suggestion on the best way for me to move images between catalogs?

I'd use the Import/Export catalog commands if you've made any changes to the files in LR, so that all of your settings safely go too. Sorting them into a collection would make it quite easy to do.

If the files are untouched, just moving them in Finder and then Sync'ing would work too.
