Hi Folks

I wonder if you might be able to add some clarification to my issue...... Yes, I have only just realised there is a difference between CC and Classic..... Doh

I want to move my CC catalogue to LR Classic but would like to check with those in the know..

The current setup...... 0S 10.15.7 ----> The LR CC catalogue is currently stored in the Pictures Folder ------ > All my photos are stored on an external drive.

Both versions of LR are the latest version.

Now my thinking is this, as my photos are stored on an external drive and the LR CC catalogue is stored in my Picture Folder I can simply open LR Classic and set it to open my current catalogue ? Is this correct or will I lose the folder structure or photo editing details. Or is there a better way to do this ?

Side Note: When I have gone to open LR Classic and connect it to my current LR CC catalogue it is asking to update the catalogue to version 10. What happens if I update this, will I lose access to the Catalogue from CC or will this rewrite the catalogue ?

Thank you all for you help and advice

Classic used to be called CC Classic, it was just a name change.

Catalog - when there's a major version change, often ther's a catalpg upgrade needed. Here's the article that explains it:

Latest version of Classic is 10.1.1 btw, not 9.5.1.
