I now have two computers with Lightroom on it. I use my labtop when I'm at work and have some down time, but when I get home I want to use my desk top. Is there a way to move my work from one computer to the other and back without losing anything I have done?

There sure is.

Choose the pictures/folders you want to work on with your laptop. Choose File > Export as Catalog. Then, transfer the files and open the catalog on the laptop. When done, transfer the files back to the Desktop and choose File > Import from Catalog to merge the photos back in.

I exported a catalog from my laptop to a flash drive and I am now trying to import the catalog (copy to a new location and import) as I have done once before, but this time I am getting a warning that, "A naming template has been chosen which uses custom text but the custom text field is blank" "Are you sure you want to continue?" If I continue, it imports, but renames my files 1,2,3... I can't find anywhere in the in the "import catalog" dialog to change imported settings (and wouldn't that defeat the benefits of importing from a catalog?) I'm using version 2.3

Is this the right place to post this question? Any help is appreciated!
Sorry, I posted this question twice. :( See the thread "Import settings on catalog import" instead. ) I admit, newbie...
