Moving from demo to registered software

Downloaded the 2.5 demo and have started working with it via Scott Kelby's book. As a result I've decided to buy the product. However, I don't know what will happen to any work I do via the demo until the product arrives? It's a mail delivery software package and won't be here for 4 or 5 days.

I would hate to do a bit of serious work in the Lightroom demo only to lose it when I install the registered software. But, on the other hand, I would love to keep working/learning.

Hi John, welcome to the forum!

Don't worry, the demo is for 3' days, and if that time runs out before your boxed copy arrives, you just won't be able to use your catalog for a few days. When the box does arrive, don't bother to install off the disc - just enter the serial number into the demo and it'll all work nicely.

This is it John. The ONLY difference between the demo and buyed version is that you have or don't have a serial number to unlock. Then, you can work safely from now on!
