Moving folders from C: to G: but cannot consolidate?

I am cleaning up my LR. I have four separate Antarctica folders in C:. I have created a new folder in G: When I try to move the second folder into the new folder in G:, I get a warning: a file named "antarctica.tif" already exists at the destination. So, is it not possible to merge all four folders into one or am I doing it all wrong? Should I consolidate the four folders first then move them over to G:?

If you have two or more images with the same file name in several folders of your original folder structure on C:\, you cannot put them all into one single folder on G:\. That's an operating system restriction, you cannot have 2 files with the same name in the same folder.

You would either have to rename the files while in their original location on C:\ and then move them, when they have unique name. You could use the LR batch renaming function to assign unique file names to all your images within the folders in question, if you wanted to.
Or you could create a parent-folder "Antarctica" on G:\, and move your folders as sub-folders of G:\Antarctica. This, of course, would not be a complete consolidation of folders.
