moving files-hit and miss

I need to move a large number of files into a folder. Currenty to get a folder to show up in LR I place a file in it and import it with the " in currenrt location" set. Is there a more direct way to get LR to SEE a folder?

The main problem I have is when I pick up a bunch of files and want to drop them on a folder it is a clumpsy affair and it is easy to drop them into the adjacent folder. Is there a keyboard only way to do this to take the graphical uncertainty out of it.

You could use Library menu > New Folder to show LR an existing folder or create a new one.

There isn't currently a keyboard only way of moving files to a specific folder, but as you float over a folder that you're about to drop things into, it should light up.

Actually, I'm wrong. There is a semi-keyboard way of moving files....

Select the files, right click on the target folder, and you'll see 'Move photos to this folder' in the menu. Maybe that'll work better for you?
