I have a photo which I have processed in PS2025, and I now want to move it to LR in order to ' enhance ' it. I cannot figure out how to move it, or even to open it from my PC. I'm sure there is a simple solution, but it eludes me. I normally only use LR for organizing files and not processing.

If the image was never imported into LrC, you just need to import it. However you can not enhance a file that is not RAW.

Because I am a complete rookie at processing raw photos in Lightroom, would anyone be able to give me a fairly simple workflow for bringing a photo from my PC into Lightroom ? I'm sure it's a simple process, and I don't want to appear clueless, but, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this.

An important piece of information that you left out of your original post is the version of Lightroom or Lightroom Classic that you are using.

If the current version of Lightroom Classic (v14.x) you need to import the RAW file from your camera card into Lightroom. Once in Lightroom, you can edit it just as you would an RGB JPEG (because when you see it, it will be RGB) The first process step would be to create an enhanced DNG for DeNoise. Photoshop would nor (necessarily) be needed to create a finished file.

Your in luck. There are a number of free eBooks from the Lightroom Queen. These will have the information that you are looking for but ...

I normally only use LR for organizing files and not processing.
Then building on what Cletus said, you may want to bring your RAW into LrC first then use EDIT-IN to pass it to PS. When you are finished with it in PS it will be returned to LrC and create as as a STACK with your original RAW file. This is the workflow I know of people who use LrC for organization and PS for processing images.
I now want to move it to LR in order to ' enhance ' it.
What is is you expect to be able to do in LrC that you can't in PS?

I'm using LR Classic14.0.1 . I am familiar with importing the files from my camera SD card. The problem I have is when I go back to older files that are in my computer. I can't seem to bring them into LR. I want to bring them into LR to use the ' enhance ' function.

So, you have a RAW file on your computer that has not been imported into LrC. In the Import Panel, the Left side contains the Source folders. Navigate to the folder containing your RAW file and choose that folder as the Source. Choose your image(s) in the middle panel using Copy (if you want a different destination) or Add (if you want the original image to remain where it is and simple add its path to the catalog)

Alternately if the folder is already in the catalog but not the image, you can select the Folder in the folder panel, right click and choose "Synchronize" from the context menu. This will bring up the Import dialog with "Add" as the chosen operation to Add the imported image with the existing path.

The LrC Enhance provides Denoise, RAW Details and Super Resolution. As I think Cletus mentioned you need to use a RAW file for Denoise and RAW Details. Super Resolution can be used with raw image, JPEG, or TIFF. So, if you have already proessed the RAW image in PS, then you likely can only use Super Resolution to 'enhance' it.
