Move images from Bridge to LR5

I use LR5 but often need to further enhance an image in Elements 8. I am really struggling to move the enhanced image back to the Library in LR5.
There must be an easy way to do this but I have not found it.
Your assistance is appreciated.

Use an External Edit preset for Elements. Bridge should not even be in the picture. This external Editor behaves like the PS external editor. If you don’t have PS and do have PSE, LR setup will detect PSE and install it as the Primary External Editor. Using the External Editor function automatically catalogs the derivitive file created by PSE. You should be using the save function in PSE not the SaveAs because Save As creates a second derivative that LR does not know about.
Alternately if you are saving a derivative created outside of LR, just save it in one of the cataloged folders and use the sync folder option in LR to import the new file in that folder.
