Move 3 catalogs

I just bought a 1 terabyte fast internal drive. I would like to transfer all catalogs on exteernal drives into this new drive. What is the best way to do this? bob

Hey Bob, is it just the catalogs themselves, or all of the image files too?

I would like to move everything. I was told internal HD would work faster then external HD. If this is not so please advise. I find my lightroom works slow. I have to wait for the image to load. Bob

Yes, you're quite right Bob.

Ok, 2 options:

1. Make sure the files are showing in a folder hierarchy so you only need to relink a top level folder, move all of the files using the OS of file sync software, disconnect the external drive, double click on the catalog to open it, and relink the files in their new location.

or

2. Go to Library menu > New Folder and create a folder on the new internal drive. Within LR drag all of the folders to the new drive. Make sure absolutely everything has copied ok before deleting off the external.

Personally I tend to go with option 1.
