When in the Edit menu, if I scroll the middle mouse button whilst in the actual Edit menu section, the menu scrolls down - just what I want it to do.
However if I happen to let the mouse pointer stray out of the Edit menu and into the image and scroll it scrolls through the images and I have to scroll back to find the image I'm editing again.
It's quite irritating and happens quite a lot!
Is there a way of disabling the scrolling of the image when in the Edit menu please?
Looking at the Adobe forum I can see there's a post about this that originated in 2019, so I don't think I'm the only user that has problems with this, though I couldn't see it mentioned on this forum.
Thanks for any suggestions.

You might try a different mouse or touch pad that might give you better control over scroll. You must be using a third party mouse since AFAIK. Apple does not make a three button mouse.

I use a track pad and have not set up special mouse gestures other than the ones that default to MacOS. Where scrolling in a 1 or 2 finger operation.

Since straying seems to be a repeating issue, you might add a star, flag, color label to the active image to quickly get back to where you were when this happens.

Scrolling is a Windows process determined by which item hasFocus. When the edit menu hasFocus, the menu scrolls. Click into the image area and the image hasFocus.

I recall that being a setting. Not at my computer right now, but look under mouse in the Lr preferences

Thank you. I should have said I am using a Logitech MX Master 35 for Mac. I just didn't like the Apple mouse. I haven't tried the trackpad.
