Im still getting confused as to which files and which version of files are where e.g there are 6 tiff and 3 CR2 files in my quick collection and previous import has all tiff so were's the origianl collection of CR2 files I was working on before I made all the chages? Library somewhere - but which folder ? I can't find them..
I had saved some files as tiff (sorry 'EXPORTED' - I do wish the 'saved as' convention hadn't been changed - I understood that intuitively whereeas 'export' 'sounds like the original is going off on holiday.. or something.)), had them also in Qiuck collection, but looked at some other ifiles in the meantime, probably moved something, and wanted to got back to the original files that I had set with the presets (several versions of same image), clicked on previuous import and they were there , but I don't know whether these are 'originals' in the sense that these are the first versions I made but before I did other tings to them like saving as ( I mean exporting) or where the originals are even anymore,: I just can't seem to keep all these folders, collections, previous imports, etc in my head!
Added to that I have several folders inside folders all named the same i.e. Lightroom exports>lightroom exports..
This thing is SO far from intuitive for my wayof thinking
I am trying to persevere and I know Im a pain to you guys that can grok this but why am I having so much trouble working with LR?
I know it's probably a question of time, but when I did the HND I find to this day that I still don't use 'Flash' but would rather use a 3D program! somethings just seem utterly unintuitive. I never have this problem with the mac Finder, or Bridge, or Photoshop, but LR does remind me of 'Flash' in that I found that really difficult, and once I hadn't used it for a day or so , completely forgot how to do it - seesm like LR is having the same effect on me! aaaagh!
Everytime I come back to it I can't remember where I was!
Tried 'Find' but that's a n inefficient way of navigating all the time, (OK for occasional, ) it gets me the originals but not the versions i had been working on
BTW - Does this mean that once you have exported files as tiffs the files you were working on no longer show as CR2 s but as Tiff?
