Hi guys!
I am trying to understand how to add and edit copyright name to photos in LR - I downloaded Mogrify (hope it works on a Mac??) and have no idea what to do with it. When I open it it says no photos were found to import. PLEEEASE explain me how it works? Never used plugins before...
Maybe there's another way to add text to photos?

Welcome to Lightroom Forums Jane!

Rather than trying to use the dry Mogrify program, it would be much easier to use LR2/Mogrify from Tim Armes. And yes it works on Mac. Once installed, you use it by "Exporting" selected photo(s). Latest version of LR2/Mogrify is 4.14. For installation instructions, it is here.

Thanks a lot for the link, I downloaded it but I can't figure out how it actually work - I tried using text annotations and nothing appears on the photo, there's also graphical watermark but to use it I need to have a file with text already prepared - how do I do that?

Text annotations can be a bit fussy about the font it uses (go figure!) so try a few different fonts.

Guys, could I please get at least one helpful answer? I installed mogrify, I read all the instructions, I followed all steps to use text annotation and nothing appeared on the photos. Also, I askes you how to use graphical watermark. I spent almost a week trying to figure all that out, you are familiar with this plugin, can you please explain how to make it work? ???

So did you try a few different fonts then, and did none of them work? Which fonts did you try? We can't tell you what you're doing wrong unless you tell us what you've done so far.

Did you read Tim's Quick Start guide on how to use it? http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lr2mogrify.php?sec=quickguide

For a graphical watermark, you need to create a graphic first. To do that you'll need a program like Photoshop. It's just a straight forward PSD or PNG file.

How about reading some of the many blog posts that come up when you google LR2/Mogrify?

Thanks, I will read all this but basically the problem is not that I don't know how to use it but that I use it and it doesn't work.
I already understood that fonts should be the problem - so how do I solve it? There is no list of fonts to use - do I have to type in the name of the font?
In LR3 the feature is great but it;s not compatible with older catalogs so kind of useless for the moment...

Ah, see that's a useful bit of information. I'd assumed you'd got that bit. Ok. So you're Mac or Windows based? Your profile is contradictory at the moment, saying your running the XP version of Mac OS :D. I think you said you're Mac based, in which case you press the Choose button next to the font line, and navigate to MacHD/Library/Fonts/ or wherever the fonts are stored on your computer, and you select one of those files.

That's good to hear Jane.
