Running LR2 on a new 64 bit Windows 7 machine.
Trying to add TEXT ANNOTATIONS using Mogrify.
No error messages or error log, but no text on the output jpg.

Can anyone help?

Try another font first and check that you do not inadvertently write white on white for example.

Tried helvetica; using black font on grey background with opacity in the 6'-7'% and there is no evidence of anything on the image.

Or try adding a border or something like that, to make sure Mogrify's working correctly.

No border either.
Re font- started w 24 point, which should have worked, but didn't; then, tried 5% and that didn't work either

If the border's not working either, I'd assume there's a problem with Mogrify. Which ImageMagick version did you install?

This is the name of installation file. I think the version is 1.'', which sounds pretty old.

FWIW, I did a W7 64-bit install today, and used the ImageMagick-6.5.8-4-Q16-windows-dll.exe, and LR2/Mogrify's working fine on that one.

oops - forgot to embed the installation file....seems to be older; and what does the "static" mean?

ImageMagick-6.5.5-4-Q16-windows-static

Not a clue, but try the one I just posted, on the offchance that it works better! ;)

can you point me to the specific download location for this version?

Uninstalled Imagemagick; installed ImageMagick-6.5.8-4-Q16-windows-dll.exe; reloaded it; ran to completion but still nothing in the output image!

Solved. Not all fonts listed in the pull-down work with Imagemagick. But, TrueType fonts all work. So I found a list of TTFs and found one I liked and it worked.

Oh, nice to know ALL TrueType's work, thanks Michael. Don't suppose you'd care to post the link to those TTF's in case anyone else can make use of it?

True type font list

I don't know where I found the list of true type fonts, but I did save it and have tried to attach it here...having never attached something before - hope it works.....

Thanks Michael
