Lightroom Version Number
15.2.1
Operating System
  1. Windows 10
I have a folder on my PC entitled Processed with all my exported images within it, upon opening Lightroom today I have exclamation marks on 4 subfolders and the metadata has moved from Caption to file name and all the images are blurred.
Upon clicking on the folder it says subfolders missing please relink, I have right clicked on the folders in question but can't see a relink option
To my knowledge I am sure I haven't moved or adjusted anything so am puzzled as to how this has come about

Any help would be much appreciated
Thankyou

Photos and folder can go missing for many reasons. A common one for Windows users is that the drive letter has been changed by WindowsOS. Most likely you have renamed, moved or deleted the file outside of Lightroom

Some things to check:
  • In the Folder panel look for a green rectangle indicating that the volume is mounted (connected).
  • In the Library module click on the menu {Library}{Find all Missing Photos}.
    • If there are missing photos, a special collection will be created in the Catalog panel called "Missing Photographs".
    • In this special collection Grid View will be thumbnails of all images where the path stored in the catalog file does not resolve into the location of an image in the filesystem.
  • These image in the grid will have a [!] icon in the upper right corner of the thumbnail.
  • Click on this [!] to open a dialog
  • 1776018783720.png
  • Click on the [Locate] button in the dialog to open a File Explorer Dialog at the last known location of the image.
  • If you know it, Navigate to the current location in the File Explorer Dialog to Select the file at its current location
Based upon the results of the checks above should resolve the issue or give us more clues so that we can dig deeper.

Thanks very much for your response, followed the procedure you suggested and all back to normal now, not sure what happened as I wasn't aware of any changes I had made
Once again thanks for your help
