I'd like to use the "Burn the exported images to a disc" option in the Post-processing 'After export' menu of the Export dialog, but it's not listed. The only ones that show are:

Do nothing
Show in Explorer
Open in Adobe Photoshop CS2
Go to Export Actions folder now

Shouldn't that option be on the list even if there is no CD in the drive?

Thanks!

If it is not there it may be because LR is not recognizing your CD Burner. Is it assigned a drive letter?

Both DVD/CD drives are assigned a drive letter, yes, and I can 'copy' files to a CD in the drive from Windows Explorer. However, I have had trouble lately burning to a DVD and suspect the DVD-RW drive needs to be replaced, but not the DVD-R/CD-RW drive. Since LR doesn't list the option to burn to a disc, does it mean that it cannot detect a CD-RW in the system? And that it only lists that option if it does see a CD burner?

That is it, AFAIK. You need figure out why LR is not seeing the CD. Not a Windows person, really, myself, so hopefully someone can help you with that.

I've not used Lightroom on a PC that didn't have a CD or DVD writer so can't confirm whether the option only shows up if Lightroom thinks you have one. I can confirm you don't need a disk in the drive to be able to see the option though.

Well, I've decided to replace the drives and have a couple of new ones on the way, so I'll find out soon enough.

Thanks for the help, guys!
