Having just purchased LR2 I set about bringing my PSE6 catalog in. I also wanted to move its location. Anyway, I made a backup of the PSE6 cat and restored it to a different drive. All done and dusted. I then used the import PSE6 option in LR2... This went off and reported a success!! However all the photos are missing!?
I have discovered I can manually reconnect the catalog with the folders but this will be immensely tedious given the numbers involved. I also notice that in the Library | Folders section the letter 'Q:' as if this is some kind of root folder. If this is the case it explains the missing links... q is a removable drive.. in fact card reader.. and has absolutely nothing to do with where the images are or where they were originally. I have tried the catalog upgrade twice now... each time getting the same result.
So what am I doing wrong? Is there a way of telling LR this is the root of where all these images are ... now go sort?
