I have received some advice here re: drive set-up after having moved from PC to Mac:

I decided to re-organise a lot of my folders for better efficiency long-term and I have now ensured that my Main Catalog is working perfectly with all folders recognised, sub-folders promoted etc.
The problem is that for some reason when I try to use a custom identity plate, the area to the top left shows nothing. if i revert to the default LR identity plate, that is visible. I have checked font-colours, background colours but i'm puzzled.
I googled it and found that the identity plate is controlled by some preference files but don't know how to find these and if i do find them where to now put them...that's if that is the problem.
The last thing i want to do is go into preference files and start messing with the only to cause some damage.
