Missing Folders

I'm using Lightroom 2.', and experienced a disturbing problem. Two Folders
disappeared from the folder list. Photos are still on the hard drive and were not moved or renamed. I re-added them to the folder list, but this is a real pain. Have others experienced this problem?

Rob, Welcome.

Are you truly using the 2.' version of Lr? That version was not known for its stability. There's really no reason not to upgrade to the 2.3 Release Candidate version. It seems by far the best of the 2.x releases.

Lightroom 2.0 unstable

I did not know that 2.' was unstable. I had serious trouble with a previous version (1.4?), so I meant to wait a month or so before upgrading. It looks like ver 2.2 has some memory problems, so I was waiting for 2.3 to come out of "candidate' mode. Thank you, I'll upgrade to 2.3.
