Missing FilterBlock In Library Mode

Hi,
Hope someone can help me. Sometimes when I open LR, the block of filters at top of Library screen is missing. I have tried turning filter switch off and on at bottom of screen and restoring default columns but no luck. I have found that by deleting pref file that it returns to normal, only for the thing to disappear again a few days later. I am probably overlookin something but I have used LR since it`s beginning and this has only recently started since 2.4. Hope I have not duplicated a previous question, but I have looked and not found anything similar.

Concise too! A simple \ seemed a bit abrupt!

There are a few exhaustive-long shortcut lists floating around, but just pick those you use most often. Take a look at Help > Library Module Shortcuts, or look at View > Show Filter Bar where you can also see the \ .
