How do I find a missing folder in Lightroom 2.'? I am using windows xp. Lightroom now shows a ? mark beside the missing folder. No response when I click on the ? mark. When I right click on the question mark, I choose find the missing folder. The missing folder is not present on the browse list of options. Where do I go from here? Thanks!

I've just replied to your email Gerald. I think you'll find you've been tidying up your hard drive. You'll need to go find that folder.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am unable to find any photos from the folder with the ? on it my hard drive. I can see the thumbnails using the library module. I don't know what keystroke I may have used to cause this to happen. I do have the photos from this folder backed up to a second hard drive. Since all the lightroom changes are on the backup hard drive, will these individual file modifications be recognized on my laptop?

Thanks

Jerry

If they're still in LR's catalog, then it's not something you did within Lightroom. You may have tidied up in Windows Explorer though, or another program.

Easiest solution - copy the backups into the place that LR's expecting, and restart LR. It'll then find the files as normal, and all of your settings will be safe.
