Migrating from PowerBook G4 to MacBook Pro

Does anyone know whether LR will migrate successfully from a PowerPC based Mac to an Intel based Mac using the migration assistant? Or are there other steps that need to be taken? Thanks.

Without a hitch. Did once G4 iBook to MacBook. Then MacBook to newer MacBook.

I've decided that - rather than using the migration assistant - I am going to reinstall LR on the new computer and copy over the folder that has my images. Is there way of doing this without having to re -import all the images into LR?
