Lightroom Version Number
Lightroom Classic 7.3
Operating System
  1. Windows 10
I've been running Lightroom 4 on a Mac Mini (OSX 10.9.5) for the past 6 years and now have Lr CC on my Dell XPS13 laptop running Windows 10 Pro.
What's the best way for me to transfer all of my LIghtroom data (16k+ raw and jpg images) from the old Mac to the new Windows machine?
I'm really psyched about using the latest Lr tools.

Thanks for advice.

JonR

Just copy the catalog and your photo to your laptop.
When opening the catalog on the PC, all photo might be flagged as missing. This is becouse the root path to drive is not the same on MAC and on Windows. To fix it, right clic on the root folder of your photo, select "Find missing folder" and locate the folder on on laptop.

JonR, what exactly have you installed on the Windows system at this point. Your first post suggests Classic 7.3, but we need to be clear about what you have in order to advise you correctly.

Thank you, Phillippe. This is what happened when I tried previously. I will do what you suggest.

Hi Jim, and thanks. The university where I work has an enterprise license for the whole Adobe CS. I installed Lightroom Classic CC, release 7.3, w/Camera Raw 10.3. This is what is displayed when I click Help, then About.
