Migrate to LR collections

Hi,

I have an IMatch installation heavily relying on categories (=LR Collections) for organizing my images. I've found several posts on the web about how to migrate the categories to "hierarchical keywords" in LR, but that is not what I'm looking for. I really would like a way to use LR Collections (and smart Collections) as this has served my well over the years.

Do you guys know any way of automatically creating Collections in LR based on "something" and automatically adding pictures to these based on "something" (else)?

You can't go directly from iMatch categories to LR collections. Go via HKs.

You'd do it manually, especially using smart collections. Add them as you want to use them.

Thanks, but I was trying to avoid having to do that .. but ... I think I used more time finding a solution to this as the time it would take to do. Sigh. I wonder why it is not possible to have the catagories in the xmp file.
