I store my photos and catalog on an aging 2 tb spinner. I am planning to buy a 2tb SSD external drive. What is the best way to migrate my material?

I store my photos and catalog on an aging 2 tb spinner. I am planning to buy a 2tb SSD external drive. What is the best way to migrate my material?

If all you are doing is migrating the contents of one volume to another, then any of the free clone apps or Finder can do that. If after copying, you unmount the old drive and assign the name of the old volume to the new volume, your Lightroom catalog will not notice a thing.
