I haven't used this type of search since 1.x, but there used to be a metadata section in the left side panel in Library mode in which various exif could be clicked on to filter images. In example, f/4, etc. If I remember correctly, the panel in question even told me how many at what f-stop.

At the moment, I'm interested in (as above) f-stop filters. I know I could create smart collections, but do I really have to create a collection for each and every f-stop? Why isn't f-stop included in the search bar (under metadata)? Or am I just missing something?

Thanks!

Go into the search bar and select metadata. Then change one of the metadata categories listed to Aperture.

Aha! That's what I'm missing. I didn't realize the headings were drop lists.

Thank you for your response!
