Merge vs Enfuse

I just tried to do a merge via the Photoshop Export Command but it really doesn't do a good job. Took three shots -1( highlights perfect), ' ( midtone goog , + 1(shadows good ) And the highlights blows in 32 bit if I bring it down you get those funky purple and yellow banding effect. Look for pop art. Not for landscapes ;-)

Did the same with the Enfuse plugin ( with LR 1.3 ) and it worked like a charm

I'm a misunderstanding something or should I rather go to Layers and start masking again?

Dawie, not sure about the PS processing, but check Tim Armes website for a LR2 update to LR/Enfuse.

Enfuse blends multiple exposures. Blend to HDR creates a 32 bit HDR image that will need extra work to give the final result.

Personally I much prefer Enfuse's simplicity and excellent results, that's why I wrote a plugin interface for it.

Thx Tim, cool plugin. Really cool. Does it work the same to install for LR2 beta - or is it still jsut for LR1.3? Couild not see any reference to LR2 on the site - it probably a bit early to ask I know... :?

LR2 Beta works fine with Tim's LR/Enfuse plugin that I installed couple weeks ago. (Plugin doesn't have a version number.) Seems like the LRMogrify.lrplugin needed to be upgraded for LR2 Beta.
