merge to panarama

Lightroom 2 develop module, pull down menu Photo has an option;
Edit in...'merge to Panarama in Photoshop.'
when i select this choice, it dutifully opens photoshop but then i get the following message

the files could not be edited because Adobe photshop could not be launched.:?
Any suggestions please.

I have windows XP, 2gbyte RAM ,ATI 365' Graphics card, 2 x 19" screens, 2x 25'Gbte hard drives 1 x 5'' gbyte hard drive, spyder 2 calibrator

Anthony, Welcome to LR Forums. Unfortunately, I believe there are some well known bugs going on behind the scenes with the 'Edit in ....' functionality.

You definitely need to be upgraded to the most recent version of PS, which I believe is 1'.'.1.
