Hello everyone,
This is my first post to the forums so please forgive any faux pas on my part!
I've had to apply the Recover Edges plug-in to some of my Canon 5D MkIII files because LR "honored" the in-camera crop I set (and did not turn off! ;-). This worked fine to give me back the rest of the sensor info. I reset the files in the Develop module. However, when I try to merge these "full" DNG files to HDR, I get the message "unknown errors" and the merge fails. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? (HDR merge worked fine on the original "cropped" files.)

Welcome aboard Kathy!

That's probably a use case they haven't considered, so your best long term solution is to report it as an 'idea' at Official Feature Request/Bug Report Forum

Short term, I think the best you can probably do is export the images to TIFF's and then merge those, although your editing range will be a bit more limited than the raw file, so it's not ideal.

Thanks Victoria. I'll definitely share this with the site you suggested.

Thanks Kathy. I see Simon Chen's replied - he's one of the longest-standing Lightroom engineers, so it's in good hands.
