After cropping & noise reduction (when necessary) masking is my go to tool. I recently encountered an unusual problem irrespective of what color I make the mask. It also occurs whether the overlay is on or off or what area where I wish to apply the mask.
Here is the issue: As you will see in the attached photos, after cropping and minor adjustments (2nd photo), I selected to mask the subject. The overlay was red (3rd photo).
To demonstrate the problem I started to move the exposure slider to the right and the subject turned green. It doesn't matter whether I am adjusting the background or the sky, or if I am using the brush. The result is the same.
This problem occurred about a week ago and I would appreciate your help as all my trials have failed to resolve the issue and I am out of ideas.

The Mask color should hide when adjusting exposure. Does It? Can you try setting the Mask color to some other color, say purple and the Masking opacity to near 100%/. Does the mask color shift or remain purple?

I've tried red, green, blue, etc. to no avail. This morning I resolved the problem by resetting the profile, presets etc. Appreciate your time and help.
