I have a photo with power lines in it. In Lightroom can I mask/heal these like I can in PS. i.e use the tool and drag along the line ant cover it up. It seems that the heal and mask in LR is just for covering sopts, unless there is a feature I do not know about.

Re: Masking / Healing tool LR/PS workflow question

Is it best to import an image into PS CS4 and use the healing brush there prior to making corrections in LR with the LR tools or should the PS work best be done after making corrections in LR?

I have always found it best to as much as you in LR / ACR first to take advantage of the raw adjustments. Then export a TIF to PS for the repairs.

Thanks,

But on this project almost all of the stuff I am working on are large TIFF scan files... so they are alteady in the TIFF format.

If thats the case then I would do the fixes in PS first then import them to LR so I only had one master image. The only thing to watch is heavy adjustments in LR might reveal the healing.
