making a collection from flagged photos

OK, as I have mentioned before, I am a slide shooter at heart. If I had shot my Botswana safari with film, I could have done a slide show a month ago. But, no- I shot digital . I am still fumbling around with LR2. Now, I flagged the photos I want to show. How can I make a collection from flagged photos as a group. I rather not drag 3'' plus photos into a collection.
I need to have a collection made in order use the sort- user order function to arrange my images in a smooth order.

Try to create a Smart Collection by clicking the '+' icon in the Collections panel. Then make it like shown below in the attachment. Does that answer your question?

Once you have converted to a smart collection- the sort user is not active( grayed out).

The next question is how do you convert a smart collection to a collection so I can utilize the sort user. I hate to do a slide show with images all mixed up.

Perhaps I don't understand the question because the answer seems so simple to me, an old time Photoshop user, but new to LR2. Do this:

Go to the Library Module.
Flag the pictures you want to use. (you've done this already).
Turn on the filter to show only the desired flagged pictures. (most likely "picked")
Select them all (Ctrl A)
Look for the + sign on the Collections Menu and click on that to make a new collection.
Name it Safari and be sure the "include selected photos" box is checked.
Now you have a collection of just your flagged photos. Click on it and you'll see 'em.
Now sort them any way you want using the sort option near the bottom of the screen.
That's it.

Now you can do what you want with the collection; make a slide show, print them, post them to a web site, etc.

Success! I was doing everything except for one important step- Ctrl-A. Before, I was able to place one lousy image in a collection.

So, Bob, thank you very much for writing out very specific instructions!
