I am trying to upgrade to version 2.' from disc, but at the end of the installation process it tells me that the install was unsuccessful and to contact the creator...Has anyone else had this issue, and can you tell me how to fix it?
I did the upgrade and put my allowed second copy of LR2 on a new MacBook Pro, 2.53, 8 GB ram and it seemed to do okay.
Tonight, while working on other things, I finally had a change to upload some pics, RAW+JPEGs from Nikon D3.
On the "Loop Info" in the Library's grid and filmstrip view and when I blow up the pics in the loop view, the file names of the imported images typically state something like "image2''912'3123.nef+jpeg."
Chinadobe, maybe I'm missing your point, but there are two ways to import raw+JPGs into Lr. That preference is set in Edit > Preferences > Import tab, third item.
Perhaps that setting has changed? I don't think it's an OS related problem.
