LRCC showing photos without original files in cloud but already has the originals as duplicates

I am having this exact problem as discussed in this old thread "Searching for photos without original files in cloud" (image attached for clarity).

I imported LRc catalog into Lightroom CC and then also imported missing pictures directly in Lightroom CC. Now when I filter using sync status as "Synced from Lightroom Classic" I see both the original dng file and the smart preview separately without the original file. LRCC didn't combine the two and kept them separate.

I have about 22000 pictures showing as having only smart previews without originals. I would like to find an easy way to confirm which of these 22000 smart previews already have originals available in LRCC. If I could figure it out, I can just delete the smart preview and clear up all the duplicates. Any advise would be very helpful.

How did you ‘import’ the Lightroom Classic catalog? This thread you include (why not include a link?) is probably about syncing images from Lightroom Classic to the cloud, and then importing the originals in Lightroom desktop. That works fine, but you must import the originals from the same location where Lightroom Classic has stored them, so not copies placed in another location.

I imported the catalog using the "Migrate from" feature in the Lightroom CC. Note that, before the migration, I was already syncing my LRCC with the lightroom classic.

Once I migrated to LRCC, there were missing originals, so I manually copied the missing originals in LRCC. I believe it recognized most of them, but didn't recognize all of them, so now I have this issue.
