Since updating Lightroom classic to 15.5.1 a couple weeks ago, I keep having issues syncing images to my collections in Lightroom Mobile. The images that won’t sync are nearly always the ones I have edited in DXO pure raw. This did not start until the last update. I am running a late 2020 Intel iMac with Tahoe 26.5.1. I have tried everything imaginable that has always worked in the past. For some reason, there are several images in a group that will not sync. The only way I can get them to sync is make duplicates of them, which is a real pain in the rear end. Any thoughts appreciated. I called Adobe on Friday and spent nearly an hour on the phone with him and the guy I worked with never could figure it out. This has typically been my experience with their customer service in the past.

Virtual Copies can be a problem since in Classic they refer to the same image file In the Adobe Cloud there are no virtual copies but duplicated originals with different edit forks.

Are any of your problems from virtual copies?

No I just do that sometimes because that’s the only way I can get a few images to sync. I am in the process now of rebuilding sync data. Not sure if that will help but it’s really odd that only a few images from each folder won’t sync. All edited the same and all ran thru Dxo pure raw.

The Sync Activity section in Preferences will show you the image problems as a clickable link to help you discover the possible cause of the problem

I think it says metadata but I’ll have to wait until the rebuild sync data finishes to see if it still does it. It’s strange because it only started after the last LRC update. It also doesn’t matter if the final image is tiff or dng.

Try to remove the offecding photos from the "trying to sync process". See if they are showing under "All synced Photos" and if they are remove them from "All sync photos". Then restart LrC and try to sync these photos again.

The only way I can get it to work is delete the images and then import again. After this all is well. Every folder I finish now for the last two weeks has 5-7 images that will not sync. Nothing whatsoever has changed in my workflow and the only thing that has changed was the latest LRC update. I shut it down daily and back up catalog as well as optimizing the catalog. I’m really at a loss but it’s really annoying. Adobe was no help at all on Friday.

I rebuilt the sync data over the weekend which took nearly 8 hours. I powered everything down and deleted the plist file as per Adobe. I haven’t had any issues yesterday or today but I’m hesitant to say it’s fixed yet.

Still not fixed even after 1.5 hours on the phone with a senior advisor. They’re going to try to come up with a plan then reach out again. They’re only way I can get the completed/edited images to sync is to save the metadata to them, delete them then re import them. Huge PITA

So today I completely removed and re installed LRC as well as tries two previous versions and the final images still will not sync unless I delete them and re import them. I am to the point of considering stopping syncing collections because it is not worth this hassle. I do like having access to my images on mobile devices but it's a shame that I am paying a monthly fee for a program and the Company that produced it CANNOT help fix it. I just truly don't know anything else to do.
