Lightroom Version Number
Lightroom Classic Version 9.3
Operating System
  1. Windows 10
I just updated from Lightroom Classic 9.2 to LrC 9.3. LrC is not building standard previews after import and is also not showing standard previews on many previously imported images. LrC will build an individual preview in the Develop module, but the preview will then disappear if I click on another image. I am on a 64-bit Windows 10 PC and am not using the graphic accelerator as my system is not compatible. Thank you for any help.

Thank you for your comment. Nothing else has changed but the upgrade from 9.2 to 9.3. I would prefer to not revert to LrC 9.2 since I want to use the new features in 9.3.

If you delete the Previews.lrdata folder adjacent to your catalog file as Roelof suggests, Lightroom will be forced to create a new folder of previews on each group of images that you open or you can select the Images and choose the rebuild previews from the Lightroom menu. There is no harm in doing this and it gets rid of any possible corruption in the current Previews.lrdata folder.
