Hi guys...bare with me. About a month ago, I gave my work PC to a local shop to upgrade and refresh it New 4TB SSB C drive (had 2 7TB hard disks), up ram to 64, update drivers and tweak my Nvidia graphics card. They did a great job EXCEPT when they added the C SSD, they turned C to D and D to E. Unfortunately, they moved my my main catalog to another drive, losing track of the images. Prior to that, I'd been wanting to move my 1,000,000+ images to two external 20TB drives. To make matters worse, 14 years of sloppyness resulted in 7 different catalogs on 5 different drives, some only 4TB in size.
So, for the last 3 weeks, I've been tracking down all my catalogs and consolidating all into one cat on my 4TB SSD C drive. I'm almost done.
However, and here's the purpose of this post (finally).
As I move my folders into the appropriate external drive (2008 to 2019 on one and 2020 to 2024 on the other), when I move a set of folder to the drive, some will move but for some I'll get the message that the folder exists even though it doesn't show in LR. When I use file manager to see that folder, sure enough there are images that LR doesn't see. Don't know why but it is what it is
My question...How do I get LRC to "see" that folder and add it to the catalog. I'm tired of manually creating the folder in LRC, then using import files for only that folder.
I'm sure that with a greater knowledge of LRC, there might have been a cleaner way to do this, but as I said, it is what it is. However, telling me how I prior screwed up is not going to help me going forward. Thanks
