I recently upgraded to a new MacBook Pro running OS X 10.11.3 (El Capitan). I was previously running the same LR version (6.0) under Yosemite and everything worked fine. Now, I can't import from any memory stick if there's a video on it. Never had this problem under Yosemite. The import dialog hangs up and I have to Force Quit to exit LR. If I download the stick to my desktop (via Finder) and import into LR, the same thing happens if there's a video in the directory; imports fine if I remove the video. Memory sticks are from 2 Nikon point & shoot cameras, and from Nikon D800.

Welcome to the forum. You need the latest update to LR — LR6.4. I think latest version this resolves all of the video issues
