recently upgraded to LR2, tried to print with printer color management, the Printer Settings, Color Management, Print Options & Ext Setting pull downs were crossed out and not available.

In the print dialog box "The bundle Color Management could not be loaded because it does not contain a version for the current architecture."

Same message for the other three settings. Running version 3.'9 of the Epson driver for my R8''.

When I use LR1 can print as normal. ditto for PSCS3.

Anyone know if there are later driver versions, checked Epson site, I think I have the latest. Thanks.

Larry,

Could you fill in your signature so that we know what system you are running and someone might be able to help

Andrew has a good point, have you got 16 bit output checked in the print module? That may cause funny things.

And if you are running 64bit mode, many profiles don't work, either. AFAIK.

Don,
Your response got me thinking so I waited through hold with Epson tech support. they confirmed I have the latest driver for my R8''. Although they would not say definitively, the 64bit architecture of LR2 is probably not compatible with my printer. Suggested I use LR1 as the workaround.....no comment on when or if they will update the drivers for this printer.
Curious if anyone else is successfully using LR2 with an R8''/MacBook Pro combination.

You can also drop back to 32bit mode for printing sessions, if they work in that.

Don

Don,
Thanks, can you tell me how to switch to 32 bit for a print session. Did not realize that could be done.
Larry

Only by how quitting LR and doing Info (Cmd-I) on the App Icon and checking the Run in 32bit Mode box and restarting, AFAIK. Not sure if you can do it on the fly.

I am running Lightroom 2.1 on OS 1'.5.5. Last week printing from Lightroom was fine. Today when I tried to print, many of the print settings were crossed out. After reading the above posts, I realized that I had changed Lightroom to open in 64 bit mode. I changed it back to 32 bit and I that solved the problem for now.
