LR2 doesn't recognize RAW images from my new Canon Rebel XT1i

New Rebel XT1i...had no problem importing or downloading RAW images with previous Rebels using CS4 and LR2.

But LR2 now will not recognize the CR2 format from this camera and refuses to import them. CS4 will not open them. Previous RAW images from earlier cameras work fine.

Now what?

Hi Wayne. It's not called the cutting edge of technology for nothing.... :D You need to update CS4 and LR to support it - however those updates aren't available yet.

ACR 5.4 and LR 2.4 will support it, and will likely be out before too long. ACR 5.4 is currently available as a release candidate from the Adobe Labs website, so you can download and install that. If you want to use LR with the files before LR 2.4 is released, you'll need to convert the files to DNG using the DNG Converter on that same Adobe Labs page.

Fair point Wayne but don't forget that Adobe works with most cameras, Canon only their own and there are lots of brands and models released. Adobe works on a release schedule pretty much!;)
