LR2.3 does not show import-screen

Hello,

I am trying to import photo's from a memeorycard: via a cardreader, via my camera as well as files on my computer.
LR2.3 says its is doing so, but nothing happens, LR completely freezes.
When I termintate the Lightroom (via MS) it mentions that LR is waiting for an answer.
But I do not see or can not access a screen.

I shut down and start the computer several times.
Nothing new.
Thereupon I have uninstalled LR and re-installed.
Nothing new.

Who knows the same problem and has a solution.

Hi Willem, have you ever had a second monitor attached to that computer? I've seen it before when it's been used with a second monitor which is no longer attached, and LR thinks the dialog is on the second screen. Deleting the preferences file or reattaching the other monitor does the trick.

Dear Victoria,

You are perfectly right.
My kids used the pc with the TV as a second monitor to watch movies. And did not shut it off correctly.


Disconnected it and LR works.
