LR2.2 Flash web galleries problem

Can anybody please give a clue as to what size the exported folder should be that contains the files generated by 35' images in a Flash gallery using Night Life template?

I just exported a gallery of 342 images and the resultant folder of 168MB contains the following sub-folders:-

index.html 9KB

resources 328KB

bin 168MB which contains a sub-folder called images which contains four sub-sub-folders: large 8'.5MB, medium 49.7MB, small 34.5MB and thumb 3.59MB

Am I really supposed to upload 168MB for one client gallery?

That's one reason many users opt to use third-party gallery engines. In fact, that's one reason I began developing other gallery engines. You should check out your options at www.theturninggate.net, www.lightroomgalleries.com and www.lightroom-blog.com. Slideshow Pro for Lightroom, is also a good product, www.slideshowpro.net. There are a few other options floating around now too, which you might investigate via the Lightroom Exchange.

Extra-large images and large thumbnails, but changing images to large doesn't make a huge difference. We're trying to get a cool-looking slideshow option, so maybe the way forward is as theturninggate suggests ...

Gosh, there's some wonderful stuff there, but I can't see anything that does what we need and what this darned Nightlife one does i.e. give the punter the option of thumbnails, an enlarged image of a selected thumbnail, or a slideshow - all with file numbers under the image.

How big do the thumbnails need to be? I've used the Monoslideshow on the studio's website, and the thumbnails can be enlarged and moved. http://www.davidbampton.co.uk/wedgallery/index.php

You can put the filenames on the main image, not sure about the thumbnails.

Okay ... we need to spend some time looking further into this but at present it seems that in order to get what we want, we're going to have to live with the slow upload and the bandwidth
