LR2.1 suddenly says BETA expired and quits!!!

hi there,
having bought LR2.1 recently, now after doing some extensive backups with misc. drives, my version suddenly says beta expired and quits. it may have detected some old beta on any of the other backupdrives.
but what can I do the get rid of this. maybe delete some files in the system, but which ones?

Might be worth contacting Adobe support directly. One good thing about paying retail.

In the meantime make sure you're actually starting the right version. That can be a problem sometimes on Windows, don't know about Mac. There's something about removing old 'packages', but we'll need a Mac guru for that.

I had this pop up today. I downloaded the the latest installer and reinstalled the app. It seems to be fine now.

Go to Menu/Help/Lightroom Registration... and be sure your serial number is there to prevent further frustration.

Everything looks to be in order. I can't remember if I had updated from the 2.1RC or not. Maybe it was something to do with that. I tried reinstalling from an installer that I already had on my machine, and it didn't work. Downloading the latest one from Adobe is what seemed to fix things.

downloaded the update 2.1 again and installed it over it all and it's working.
