Apologies if this has already been discussed (I can't find anything precisely similar using Forum Search).
I've been using the LR2 Trial for approx 3 days now and really like what I've seen so far.
Having been a user of Bridge/ACR & PSCS3 for some time, I've just tried importing some folders of RAWs +XMP sidecars (taken on various dates) into the LR Catalog. When I examine these images' metadata in LR they all report the Capture Date/Time (also date/time modified & date/time created) as 11/'5/23559 15:26:'6.
If I then use Phil Harvey's ExifTool to check these fields in the RAW & XMP files they are correct - so sadly I haven't actually discovered time travel!
This problem only seems to occur using Import from Disk. When I use Import from Device to get images from a CF card via a USB Reader the LR metadata panel reports the Date/Time fields correctly.
Is this a known bug? Is there any workround?
Please help/advise.
TIA
