LR2.1 dies when entering Develop module

Tried to optimize catalog, restore previous one from backup and reinstall. No error message so I cannot guess what's wrong. It was working fine until yesterday when asked to make backup. Then I imported some pictures and tried to edit them. No changes to system that I am aware of.

Try all the steps Victoria has outlined here (especially number 4).

Hi melastmohican, welcome to the forum!

The other thing to look for is a corrupted develop profile, if the crash is specific to the Develop module.
