I have a pretty good workflow with LR2/CS4 Vista that matches my old PSE/CS3 XP color balance pretty well on my R18''.

The LR printing sticky is helpful but it doesn't help with my specific issue. I sometimes use an old Epson Picturemate for quick 4X6 prints. The only Vista driver is the Vista out-of-the-box OEM driver.I get very low saturated thin prints from LR with this setup. CS4 prints to it fine in Vista with the same settings (exported from LR and let printer manage color) and using the same driver.

In CS3/PSE, letting the printer manage colors also worked fine for the picturemate and gives me similar results to CS4.

I can see that the recommendation for LR is to use an ICC profile and let LR manage which I always do when possible with other printers. However I have not been able to find an ICC profile for the picturemate as I do not think Epson created one.

Any workarounds? With two OS and printing from 5 different programs....everything balances, except LR set to let printer manage...

Thanks,
BJB

I am in your very own situation with Mac OS X and Picture Mate old model (best one by the way; prints from new models don't last as much as per Wilhem Research). I have all the equipment to profile printers/inks/papers combination. The real problem here is that the Picture Mate driver doesn't offer to choose profiles... I do get acceptable results but to being optimal, I export to less capable software and print from there as anyone would do inserting their memory cards directly into that printer.
